Harber Companies, Inc. has been a member of the SCCA organization for over 25 years. The SCCA has been more of a partner in our business as opposed to an organization to which we simply subscribe. Without the SCCA on our side, Harber Companies, Inc. could not have succeeded in maneuvering our relationship with the different unions with which we are affiliated. The SCCA has always displayed the utmost professionalism and expertise when tackling the different issues we have encountered over the years. We have maintained our record of perfect compliance with the Unions due to the SCCA’s ongoing relationship with Harber Companies. We were able to navigate the many Labor Agreements thanks to the aid of that relationship. Truly, the SCCA has proven to be the quintessential “Contractor’s Friend” over the decades, never disappointing. We have belonged to several different Construction Organizations in the past and none have proven to be more beneficial, supportive, and dedicated than the SCCA.
We represent members in grievance and arbitration procedures (rights not available to short-form contractors) and provide strong representation when negotiating all collective bargaining agreements.
We give members ways to meet and share positive and productive networking opportunities with owners, vendors, and implementers in the industry, allowing you to build stronger business relationships.
We are involved in the conversations that determine the direction of our industry and pass vital safety and policy news and updates your way as soon as we know about them.
We have a long track record of successful negotiations with the construction industry trades so that our members and affiliates get the most benefits possible from their labor contracts.
Our Construction Training Education Collaboration program, or C-TEC, provides SCCA members opportunities through training, education, partial grants, industry collaboration, and partnership with union trades, agencies, and policymakers.
Membership is open to union-affiliated contractors, product and equipment vendors or service providers in the construction industry, and Alternative Dispute Resolution professionals who are signatory to one of the six trade unions.
