SCCA Shootout raises More Than $20,000 for the PAC * SCCA

April 17, SCCA held it’s second sporting clay shooting event at Mike Haahugue’s Shooting Enterprises in Corona to raise funds for PAC.

“The second PAC Shootout Fundraiser was just as successful as the first one held last October,” says PAC Committee Chairman Greg Salsbury of Salsbury Engineering. “With 15 shooting stations that varied in difficulty from easy to hard, both expert and novice shooters could join in the fun.”

Scott Salandi, Paul Dito and Ted Lee of Patriot Risk and Insurance Services, SCCA Executive Vice President Wes May, and SCCA Guest Pete Schumacher took 1st Place. The 2nd Place winners were Nick Hull, Dennis Madden, John Fredricks, David Miller, and Jeff Liebl of Quinn Co. And 3rd Place went to Spencer Willhoit, Roger Schwarz, Jorge Bacerra and Nick Osborne of Sukut Construction. The Individual Highest Score Winner was Scott Salandi of Patriot Rick Insurance Services, shooting 82/100 targets.

“We raised more than $20,000 for the PAC, and everyone had a good time,” says Salsbury. “The PAC Committee would like to thank everyone who participated in the event – shooters, sponsors and volunteers. And we want you to know that your contributions will be put to good use with both state and local elected officials and candidates. Plus, remember, any and all PAC donations of any amount are welcomed throughout the year.”

“Howard Contracting, Marco Transport and Savala Equipment Rentals also made additional donations towards the PAC,” says Salsbury. “And a very special thank you to Pavement Recycling Systems for also sponsoring one of the shotgun raffle items.

“The shootout was such a success, we’re already planning a similar event for October 16, 2019. Mark your calendars now. This event is sure to sell out.”
