At this point, vaccine eligibility has not opened up to the construction industry as a whole. However, many of our members’ workers are eligible for vaccination. Based on recent state guidance, we encourage the following groups within the construction industry to seek vaccination:
- All workers who are over the age of 65
- All workers with vulnerable conditions, including extreme obesity (BMI >40)
- Transportation workers – workers with airport badges or workers with TWIC cards
- Emergency workers – workers performing utility repair, or workers performing road repair
