COURSE SUMMARY

This 4-hour state of California mandatory training class teaches strategies to manage disruptive and aggressive behavior, aiming to reduce incidents and prevent violence. The course will help lower injury risk, improve relations, and decrease liability, fostering a safer work environment. The training includes a definition of an active shooter by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as an individual attempting to harm people in a populated area, typically using firearms without a predictable pattern.

Employers must provide this training annually per SB 553 as of July, 2024.
