This 8-hour course is essential for managing construction work zones in both single- and multi-person traffic control operations. A 4-hour refresher class is also available. Attendees will receive a certificate upon completion. The program aims to train employees to ensure safe traffic passage through work areas and reduce confusion by standardizing procedures on our highways. Controlling traffic in work zones is a critical and hazardous task in highway maintenance. This comprehensive skill-building course aligns with industry guidelines and covers requirements as specified in the “California Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices” (MUTCD)

o Read Temporary Traffic Control Plans
o Set up Temporary Traffic Control with different street scenarios
