Whether initial or recertification, this CPR/First Aid course meets care guidelines set forth by JAMA (The Journal of American Medical Association), the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, NGFATOS (National Guidelines for First Aid Training in Occupational Settings) American Red Cross and the American Heart Association. Certification is good for 2-years.
Topics covered include:
• Scene safety
• Initial and ongoing assessment
• Airway management (including foreign body airway obstruction)
• One-rescuer CPR
• Bleeding
• Shock and injuries to muscles and bones
Blood Borne Pathogen Training
Training for all employees on the relevance, existence and impact of blood borne Pathogens within their work environment. The main body of the course will teach employees how to identify, approach, and protect themselves and their fellow employees from incidental contact. Secondly, details regarding the steps to be followed in the event of a potential exposure incident will be covered in detail. Lastly, we will share with the employees specific company policy and equipment put into place to address blood borne pathogens within the work environment. Certification is good for 1-year.
