Big Catch Bash – Fishing Excursion

ABOUT THE EVENT

Join us on the Patriot this August 15th for the SCCA Big Catch Bash, an exciting deep-sea fishing adventure departing from Newport Landing in beautiful Newport Beach.

Whether you’re a seasoned angler or new to the sport, this event offers a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow SCCA members, enjoy the ocean breeze, and reel in a variety of Southern California’s finest game fish.

The day includes a prize for The Biggest Catch, great giveaways, and plenty of fun on the water—making it a memorable experience you won’t want to miss!

EQUIPMENT RENTALS & TACKLE:

$18-$24

1-DAY LICENSE:

$20.52 (required for age 16 and above)

(Must contact SCCA by August 1, 2025 with full name & DOB or purchase in person on the day.)

ATTENDEE PARKING & ARRIVAL CHECKLIST:

• Boat (Patriot)
• Parking– 2 Washington St. Newport Beach, CA 92661 –  Right hand side after the stop sign.
• They offer 24 Hour parking located on the same side. You will pay at the pay station. Posted on every corner. (License Plate Required)
• Free Street Parking Along Balboa Blvd. Or Residence (Left on Adams. Make a Left at Stop Sign E. Bay)
• Check-in Location 309 Palm St. Suite A Newport Beach, CA  92661
• Arrival between 5:15am-5:20am  (Parking or Dropped off by this time as boat departs at 6am sharp)
• Boarding 5:50am  (Loading Dock) Departing 6:00am )
• Please bring Id’s for fishing license
• Suggested: Light Sweater/ jacket /sunglasses
