SCCA Workers Comp Insurance

The SCCA, its Board of Directors and Executive Committee has approved a workers compensation insurance program exclusively for SCCA members. Workers comp insurance can be a significant component of contractors’ operating costs. This new program, while in no way a requirement of SCCA membership, aims to provide members another option for workers comp insurance—one that may provide more cost-effective premiums than standard policies.

The SCCA workers comp program achieves premium savings by examining the claims history for individual companies within a smaller, tightly defined pool of eligible companies. In this way, companies with a history of proven commitment to safety—those with relatively fewer claims—may be eligible for significant savings not accessible to standard policies utilizing larger regional or national insurance pools.
